Expansion of the 'Autobahn'

By 1936, Mr. Hitler put nearly 130,000 people to work on the Super Highway,
with another 250,000 providing service for the road crews.

These were excellent paying jobs, that moved many Germans from 'very poor'
to the level of upper middle-class.
