There has been some very quiet behind-the-scenes discussion about a possible HBO PPV fight next year between welterweight titlist Antonio Margarito and former champ Shane Mosley. Margarito would have to successfully defend his title against Joshua Clottey on Dec. 2 for the discussions to continue. Mosley, who twice stopped Fernando Vargas this year, is taking the rest of the year off. It could be a difficult deal to make because Margarito is promoted by Bob Arum's Top Rank and Mosley is with Golden Boy -- rival companies that rarely do business with each other because of the bitter relationship between Arum and Golden Boy chief Oscar De La Hoya.
