It's easier for me to just spout that on the internet than to worry my pretty little head about complex social issues.
The reason the dad’s said that was because the police encouraged the sisters to stay in communication with their brother which resulted in them being radicalised and taking the kids. The state should protect children and vulnerable adults who can not help themselves.
