On one hand he established championship and fought a couple of the top five, having some moments vs both. On the Garcia beat a semi retired Paulie coming off a brutal ko and tip toed in. Great work, just thinking out loud.
Thank @Spicoli I really appreciate it from such an established and respected member of the forum.

A fighter gets dropped if they haven't fought or scheduled a bout within a year at the weight they are rated. Champions get 15 months. I would like to take circumstances into consideration (such as say Postol who had stepped aside, but hadn't fought at 140 in a year) but it fairer to keep it consistent and have everyone held to the same standard.

Maidana will exit at the end of next week, his years inactivity is up on the 13th.

Guerrero was removed after his struggle with Martinez. A fight many though he arguably lost.

Garcia only has the Malignaggi win, if you take out the Peterson fight but he is entering as a former champion at 140. It should also be noted that Broner entered the 147 pound ratings based on his win over Paulie, and Porter also got credit for the win. So Malignaggi and Guerrero could been seen as quite similar in regards to Welterweight action
