He beat top guys like aka Eddie Gregory and Yaqui Lopez inside as the wba dropped him from rankings on "moral grounds" after they realized he would be a jail house champion. He beats the #1 contender then has to sit back and watch the guy just stripped for breaking contract be reinstated. Watching his few network bouts and grasping the background and presentation is surreal They actually had prison furlough programs out of New York where dozens of guys aka inmates would box 'on the outside' in some sort of circuit for obviously better competition until Marlon Starling ran into a tragic night.
