this era of amateur open class boxing was after tyson won the j.o. (junior olympics) state, regional & national championships. It was hardly new for him and he was boxing against men in the gym when he was 15 years old. The empire games was a good tourney win but being the national j.o. Champ two years in a row all by rsc is pretty special and prepares you for your future in boxing. Tyson hit the pros very well seasoned as an amteur from 14 to 19 yrs old.
