To compare Margarito with Mitchell at this point in their careers is pointless...Just because he looked good against Mitchell guarentees nothing....If williams steps in with a top guy right now all he stands is a punchers chance...There is a lot to improve on...You could see that in the short time during the Mitchell fight...He has a future ahead of him no doubt but his time is not here yet
PS please dont ask what happened to that last post I have no clue lol
Yeah Williams would dominate 145, but I'm not sure he's ready to dominate at 147
One thing about Williams is he got caught by Sharmba really well in the 2nd round. If Sharmba was
10 years younger, he could have really capitalized on that. Williams is by no means, flawless.
However, if Mayweather moves up in weight and Williams keeps on this pace he could well unify at welter IMO
I've seen him take bombs from Mattysse (sp?) I seen him get caught flush and he just fires back.
What I want to see him do is fight a young super slick boxer with a great defense, I think Carlos Quintana
fits the bill, but he's tied up with Cotto. Williams v. Quintana would answer a lot of questions for me.
Even Williams vs. Judah would be interesting (I always like seeing Judah get schooled). But all in all
for now I think his best bet is Kermit Cintron, because he's gunnin for Margarito and that's the biggest name
on Margarito's resume.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
