No doubt we're gonna have the old "he could die in there, he deserves every penny he gets" comments, and to that I say Bollocks! There are way better and braver Boxers than him, that earn nowhere near what he does.
If I told my grandkids in 10 or 20years
time about a guy who had a ppv fight against Cleverley, had a stadium fight in his team's stadium and won a world title, beat Haye in a massive ppv, and then possibly went on to fight Deontay Wilder or a World HW title, and to cap it all was in a Rocky Film, they would think he was some kind of fucking superstar ATG!
How could I convince them that he was pony?
I have to give him credit for being the most blessed, luckiest fighter to have ever walked this earth.

This seems as bit excessive. I don't care for him personally either, but the fact is he is on a bit of a tear and has proven himself somewhat of a natural fighter. Of course he could get starched at HW against a Wilder type guy, the size difference is staggering. I'd still give him a chance against some of the smaller HW's by way of actually having some instincts, just me.
I don't think it's excessive. Should the Cleverley fight have been ppv? NO!
He is a CW, what has he done to enhance his status as a top CW? Fuck all! I bet there are between 5 and 10 CW's out there that could beat him.
So he beat a one legged Haye as a HW, name me any top 20 HW that wouldn't finish Haye off in those circumstances?
Is he a top 10 HW ? NO!
so why is it excessive?
Hey, good luck to him , earning these sort of plaudits and financial gain for someone of his ability, but there are probably over 100 fighters in the World that are better than him and earn less, what about them?
He earnt more in his last fight than Ward and Kovalev for fighting each other, now tell me it's excessive?

Id say he is somewhere between 5-10, although I do agree with you there are a few cruiserweights who could beat him, the win over Makabu has to carry something. It's hard to say where he's at as Haye was injured and didn't look like his former self in general, but it's still a win. I don't care to drag this out as you could be right, but he's obviously capable of beating guys who hold visible advantages over him, that's all.
