it's hard to keep track of what sanchez is rambling about here :S does sound like he is deliberately not understanding the questions though and giving answers in an other direction... He also says who cares about perception after being asked "you know what it will look like if golovkin doesnt fight charlo as a mandatory?".... pretty sure they called out alvarez pretty hard about how people would perceive him if he didnt fight golovkin... but whatever :S
It's why I said weeks back we should start looking for Charlo/Jacobs. Nobody will choose to fight either. Which, I'm okay with in the sense that I would enjoy the fight. I'm just not okay with the fact those two get treated differently. Everyone should be calling for people to fight them, but they won't.
Not sure what you mean there. GGG has always been chasing that Canelo (Martinez, Cotto) money fight no matter what they said about all the belts and so on. Now he's set to get it in September. Jermall just arrived at 160. First fight/ win there although impressive from his side was a bit of a dud. Jacobs deserves a return with GGG. So hey a fight between the 2 to decide a challenger would be awesome. The question is will Charlo wait on the sidelines for his shot (maybe with a stay busy fight along the way) or try to force the issue by establishing himself as the top challenger? The Jacobs fight would do that. And what has Jacobs being doing since the GGG fight? I understand that they feel entitled to be among the mix but kicking back waiting for your number to be called seems redundant.

I basically pay no attention to what Sanchez says, he is always chopping and changing his story and contradicting himself. I see no reason GGG wouldn't want to fight either of these guys. I would still like to see him unify the division, so I could see a Saunders fight coming before either of the Americans. After that and depending on what those 2 have done in the interim then I'd be all for those fights.[/QUOTE]

You have expressed exactly what I mean. You say what has Jacobs been doing. Well, he's been turned down by GGG, Lemieux and BJS. Not one would even negotiate. But the story is that Jacobs has been inactive. The story should be about the guys refusing to even negotiate.

There are certain fighters that get a different standard. Once people acknowledge that they can start predicting what will happen long before it is discussed.
