Or Floyd was cautious for 2 rounds for no justifiable reason and then took another 8 long rounds to beat someone who has never boxed professionally before in his life.
He was coming off a long lay off and he is 40 years old
Plus he had no footage of Conor as a Boxer to study in preparation
So he didn't know what Conor was going to do in there.
He took his time and felt him out which was smart
No need to rush when he's got 12 rounds to do the job.
Or an man of Floyd's vast experience should have worked out that Conor had nothing and should have stepped it up earlier and stopped the cage fighter who looked embarrassingly amateurish.
That's not his style though
Why change a style that's worked for the past 49 fights?
Conor was 12 years younger and naturally a lot larger.

If Conor fought somebody his own size and age (Canelo)
He'd have got knocked out early but he picked a 40 year old
Floyd picked Conor and they set this "sting" up a year ago.

I think Conor called out Floyd whilst Mayweather was retired
Floyd saw an opportunity to make easy money and took it.
Floyd was always going to come out of "retirement" for the 50th fight and it should have been against a real boxer. In fact that should not even count as 50. That was a glorified sparring match.
I didn't think it was all that bad and if I had to choose
I'd rather watch that again over the Pacquiao fight.
Floyd got to go to 50-0, make a ton of money
And he did it without taking a risk! That's just good business.
I don't mind if the MMA and Irish fans want to add to his retirement fund.
