You don't need to do laps in snow to build up stamina, it just increases as the game goes on, same with the horse bonding.

I've not had any bother with keeping the food stocks up in camp either, it doesn't take a lot of time, I find a couple of rabbits will do it.

I wish you could just save it though, that is one thing that does my head in at times.

Oh and as for the gold bar cheat, I didn't do it and I've now got about $900 on my person and the camp has about $300
The snow start was miserable . But I mean build stamina up at start just running around before you get to harder parts and more of story. I had level 4 before first ride to town. The never ending tiers in character stats takes some serious getting use to. Just too much to follow .
