RJJ and Calzaghe are hard to compare because Roy was flashy and Joe is all business
After he went to LH I stopped being a RJJ fan...Fought to lousy comp and too many easy fights for me BUT>>>>>>>>> That doesn't take awa from how good he was...In his prime..He did dominate Toney...Hopkins tp be fair was not the same fighter he grew to be Jones had a lot more experience over all...But I can think of guys Jones could not beat in his prime...Since Super Middle was not around assuming he was at Middle IMO Hagler would beat a prime Jones...At LH a prime Michael Spinks could beat a prime Jones...Also Archie Moore or Bob Foster....Jones was great but there were better...Thats just my opp though..
Ok first of all the guys that Jones fought at LHW were very underrated only because he made them look that way... Virgill was a great fighter. Julioz Gonzalez beat that german man Darius everyone wanted Jones to fight, and Jones easily beat Gonzalez. Jones fought McCallum, Reggie Johnson, Tarver(when he was fresh and yes a good fighter), Harding(underrated would have been good in any era of LHW), David Telesco, Lou Devalle would be good in the old days. Roy Jones is too smart, too fast, and too strong for Hagler he would have been the only person I would ever say could overwhelm Hagler. Michael Spinks would take maybe a round or two for Roy to figure out, but he would and he would coast easily winning the fight on the cards. Archie MOore:worse version of James Toney and Jones would beat him up worse than he did Toney. Bob Foster:would be boxed circles around by Roy. Benn wouldn't come over to fight Roy neither would Calzaghe or any of the brittish fighters, and if you watch their styles all of them except Eubank would have been beaten down badly by Roy, and
even Eubank would have lost.
