Spinks The idea that somebody who's willing to fight PBF would have been scared to fight Spinks, whether he was bigger or not, is absurd.
i'm not implying that he's scared, I guess I should have put it more like one of the previous posters, i'm just saying that all the time he's been at welterweight he hasn't accumulated a good enough resume to IMO even be considered dangerous to PBF or deserve a fight for that matter, he's got four losses already. and it just seems like he inherited his ranking at welterweight because mosely,trinidad,delahoya,forrest,mayorga, all left the division...and PBF comes in has one fight at 147 and is rated higher than him...Judah has 3 losses, one to the great KT another to spinks who did beat mayorga...and its funny that you say he called out mayorga..but he shouldn't fight spinks?because spinks beat ricardo... Just because you call out the big name fighter doesn't mean that you deserve the shot...he's trying to win the lottery off PBF's name not his own...it's weird that PBF's fight selection gets critizied, and margarito's doesn't? I think that challenger's should have the same light shine upon them...margarito hasn't beaten anyone of any real note except cintron, and i'll say again he's already got FOUR LOSSES....and young fighter shouldn't have 4 losses already esp to none champs....just look at LACY...people already think he's done because he lost to an undefeated veteran champ...if cotto loses a fight he will be torn up by the boxing world...and you're trying to make a case for a guy with four losses? You imply that he ducked ODLH, Trinidad, Mayorga and Mosley and that's ridiculous for the reasons I listed.

I didn't say he shouldn't fight Spinks, I said it was ridiculous to think that somebody who's not scared of fighting PBF would be scared of Spinks.

PBF's fight selection is more open to criticism cause he's the opposite of high risk/low reward, not cause its not a risk fighting him, but cause its a huge reward. I've never criticized PBF's opposition in the beginning of his career, but since Castillo for a P4P 1-3 guy his opponents haven't exactly been impressive, and he's been choosing his own fights. He could snap his fingers and make a fight with Margarito, not the same deal with Margarito. I don't have a problem with PBF being able to pick his own fights, he earned it early in his career, I just would like to see him pick better opposition. Since Castillo his choices haven't been awe inspiring, even though Judah's still overrated, at least its a step in the right direction. Anyway, I didn't even bring up PBF's opposition or him fighting Margarito in my first post, I just thought you saying he was ducking all those guys was wrong and not based on any kind of logic.

Yes, Margarito has four losses. Look at his record. He turned pro at 16, without much amateur experience, and lost three of his first 12 fights, all before he even turned 19. He learned on the job, he wasn't as polished as Floyd coming in, still isn't, but he's learned how to fight and his only loss in the last ten years was on a technical decision to a 154 pounder. He's a solid contender, I don't think he'll beat PBF, but if he does I wouldn't call PBF done, who would, he's proven himself to be a great fighter. I don't even think Lacy's done, but if people do its not cause he lost one fight, Winky's lost, Bernard lost, Barrera lost, Morales lost, most fighters do, if people think Lacy's done its cause he got absolutely brutalized, not cause he lost.
