As a trainer it’s hard to say but most fighters are who they are. All you can really do is play to their strengths and teach them how to compensate for their weaknesses.(my type of training is exactly the opposite but I am not a boxing trainer even if I am in the business so,,,different)
How many fighters have you seen change trainers once? If it’s your dad’s fault or your uncles it will probably be the next guys fault and the next guys. Freddie Roach is a legend, but if you can’t avoid the straight right he has nothing for you. And he’s HOF.
Fury is who he is, like Wilder is who he is and Thurman is who he is and Loma is who he is. Small changes can lead to drastic differences but be sure, they are small changes.
