Re: Best Brit of the last 40 yrs
I was a big Herol Graham fan and liked the Ingle fighters. He was unlucky to never win the world title or get a big fight against Benn, Watson or Eubank.
Nigel Benn was the most exciting because of aggressive style and punch power. He got better after each loss because he adapted and improved his skills.
Lloyd Honeyghan caused the biggest upset beating Curry and defending the world titles.
Naz for a time was the best at his weight and slightly invaded USA.
Lennox Lewis became undisputed heavyweight champion and confirmed his legacy.
Hatton beat the great Tszyu and was a top fighter for a short while. His fans definitely invaded USA.
Joe Calzaghe was the best overall, he had fast hands, skill, chin, stamina, heart and longevity.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
