Taking a megaphone away from a gobshite in a crowded place shouting 'Fire' when there is none, or temporarily sticking a strip of gaffa tap across the mouth of an annnoying arsehole who is telling parents at a funeral it is their fault their kids are dead, is not 'tearing a tongue out' it is a public service for which buying the fella a pint is probably a good start.
