No, Chav is what they call a Charver outside of the north east... :P

I can remember peopling saying Charver as long as I have been alive... where as this 'chav' thing is only really 3 years old at most, what gets me is when posh fuckers who live up here and have all of their lives (who sound like southners to me any way... :P) say 'chav' as if they are a southner.
