you question calzaghe's chance against tarver because of his size and yet you think hopkins has a much more reasonable chance against tarver....remember calzaghe is a large supermiddle weight...a jump up to light heavy is nothing too big...

and remember calzaghe is in his prime, fighting 3 minutes of every round....tarver struggled at times with a gun shy and shot jones jr....

calzaghe has a good chance of beating this 37 year old tarver...
I agree Calzaghe has a chance against Tarver, but don't be fooled by his fights against RJJ who hits harder and faster than Calzaghe even now... Tarver's jab IMO would really screw Calzaghe up, and Tarver throws good combinations himself.
but jones jr last time out was reluctant to even throw punches and even then had tarver in trouble once or twice....calzaghe will throw in bunches and they will keep coming...

tarver needs his nap times over twelve rounds, and calzaghe wont give him that....calzaghe will stalk him and get through, no matter how good tarvers jab might initially seem....
