Just checked on Japanese twitter & news with 穴口一輝 (how his name is written in Japanese) & no updates on his status there either. I hope he is ok, don't need another Boxing tragedy
rip kazuki anaguchi. sadly he passed away today
Damn! I watched that fight live on TV he was an excellent boxer. Very sad.

Kazuki Anaguchi has tragically died in hospital aged just 23 after suffering a brain injury during his defeat to Seiya Tsutsumi in December.

The Japanese boxer, born in 2000, was beaten on points after a gruelling ten rounds on the undercard of Naoya Inoue's triumph over Marlon Tapales for the undisputed super-bantamweight world titles.

Anaguchi was floored in the fourth, seventh, ninth and tenth as he lost by decision for the Japanese bantamweight title.

He passed out after the end of the bout and was taken to hospital.

Doctors performed an emergency craniotomy to remove a subdural hematoma on his brain.

Sadly though, Anaguchi never regained consciousness.

On Friday, over a month later, he was pronounced dead.

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
