Do you think Crawford has a chance against David Benavidez? lololol... That may be a bit much for Crawford, I believe?! What do you think?
Don’t you think it’s interesting how Floyd is always the one they compare to ?

Not Ali. Not SRR. Not JCC.

It's always Floyd. Floyd is the bar.

It shows why Floyd is arguably the GOAT.

Stop being a prisoner of the moment

You done forgot who Floyd was

Anybody who thinks Crawford beats Floyd easy is automatically a delusional run-of-the-mill boxing drunkard who is on the lowest of Roger Mayweather's "know sh&t about boxing" tier.

At 135 ? No one dead or alive beats Floyd. Floyd at 135 would be hell for Bud. But Bud at 147 ? That could be Floyd's toughest fight ever

The problem for Bud is he fights at Floyd’s pace which is fine if you can control the outside and try and turn Floyd into a front foot pressure fighter which the Conor McGregor fight showed is not Floyd’s thing

But the fight would be a counter puncher vs a counter puncher and Bud would crack first and become the aggressor and even if he didn’t and it turned into a chess match when Floyd becomes defence heavy, risk free Floyd, he doesnt lose. Floyd is just all wrong for Crawford. Superior speed, timing, and defense wins.

You'll NEVER beat Floyd at his own game.

Crawford benefits heavily from fighting fighters who don't move their head. He makes everyone pay for that and did it to Canelo many times. Floyd moves his head. I think Crawford benefits from not fighting anyone who is faster than him. That's how Gamboa gave him problems. Floyd is not going to be there for those counters that Bud likes to land. It would be a good fight but I ultimately think he’d get out boxed. Floyd would bring too much to the table with how he varies his attacks, his speed, defence and footwork.

And then when you look at their resumes, Bud is comfortably behind not just Floyd but Pac-Man too.

It’s not Bud's fault, but he wasn’t able to get a lot of food on the table at welter not to mention he’s fought once a year for like 6 years. So what hurts Bud is the resume. The accolades are great but who you beat is always a heavy factor when determining greatness.

Floyd but no matter how you look at it, the difference in overall caliber of opponents between the two is huge.

If Crawford had more/better names it would be a serious discussion for me.

The common opponent they have Canelo

Canelo was 23 years old with 43 professional fights when he lost to Floyd (who was 45-0) and out of his prime at the age of 36.......yet somehow Canelo was too young and inexperienced

Floyd fought a younger more energetic version of Canelo while Crawford fought an older, yet seasoned versioned of Canelo

Crawford vs Canelo was more of a fight. Floyd vs Canelo was like watching someone playing on them playschool basketball hoops with their 6-year-old nephew.

One problem I have with Canelo is that he accepts defeat too easily, it’s like he says to himself “Ok I’m getting out boxed here, but I’m not gonna put it all on the line to get the win. I’ll just cruise to a respectable UD loss, and we can restart the Canelo train again in 6 months without too much damage to the brand"

That's why Bud needs to fight a

    • Boots,
    • Vergil Ortiz,
    • Haney,
    • Jannibek
    • Shakur

There's plenty of WAR out there Bud. But you gotta FIND war if you truly want it. A rematch with Canelo IS NOT WAR.

Fight elite guys on this list because they're starving they WONT do a canelo and be content to cruise to UD loss. Those guys will fight Bud till hell freezes over and then carry on fighting him on the ice. That’s what Bud need if he wants to be on Floyd’s level and unless you're from Omaha surely you’ll agree with this

Bottom line is Crawford has far too much ground to make up if he wants to be considered anywhere near Mayweather's pedigree. Floyd’s resume is stacked from start to finish and once the initial excitement dies down over Bud I think the consensus will reflect that
