When was the last time you completed your life long ambition that you worked 2/3's of your life for? Get f***ed.
Everyone's entitled to an opinion here...but let's not all get so bent out of shape over it.

While I agree with you yoitsdan...it is time for Joe to take out Kessler...that should pretty much silence all other critics.

Joe did do a great thing in beating Lacy...no matter what anyone says...it's a pity that everyone else has forgotten what Lacy did to his other opponents. Props & respect to Joe...those that won't give it...well they just don't know.

Technically...there's no one else out there that needs to be beaten.

Rational boxing fans & fans of Calzaghe know that Joe is the good...all the rest of that S*** speak is nothing more than bitterness.
It's a pity that people refuse to acknowledge that Lacy's previous opponents were mediocre to poor. And in reality Lacy was severly overrated. Those that can't see that...well blame it on what ever you want. Stupidity. Intoxication. Doesn't really matter.
What people refuse to acknowledge is that Lacy was & is a hell of a fighter.

He fought some game opponents to be so early in his career & he took on the best Super Middleweight of the last 5 years...so just out of curiousity...at 168lbs...Jeff's fighting weight...who would you rather him have built his wins over?

That's thing right there. Lacy was still building. He barely had 20 fights. He had and still has a lot to learn. It was obvious he was in way over his head. He was considered a "champion" cuz he won a vacant title from a mediocre non-champion. Yes, Joe beat his a**. But it was more cuz of what Lacy lacked than what Calzaghe had.
So then at 168 who would you have had him face?

Mundine had lost, Kess was built & viewed as hype, Beyer had lost & deemed soft, & then there was Joe.

Who would you have rather him face?
He would of been in over his head against Kessler as well. Mundine would of been decent. The guy who beat him Manuel Siacca would of been better. Antuan Echols would of taught him a lot. And believe it or not Bruno Girard wouldn't of been a bad choice. He would of been able to see how it is to deal with a boxer. There's plenty of names. Bottom line is Lacy had 21 fights compared to Calzaghe's 40. Do you not see how that might of been a problem?
