I think Lacy is finished. If he's really out 12 months now due to his shoulder, he will have been extremely inactive (and looked terrible the two times he actually got in the ring) in the past few years. Combine the rust and lack of confidence with a severe shortage of boxing skills to begin with and I don't see him ever being a force in the sport.

He KO'd a very game Brian Magee, whilst his thumb was clean-snapped off and rattling round in his glove from round 1...

He fought a slippery mathew barney with a ruptured extensor hood, because the Tv date was in place...

Around 5 years ago he won an amatuer competion in Copenhagen and has been several times - so no pressure in that sense.

Trust me, when Froch connects, its over for any fighter at 168 - as you could see from the liver shot, he didn't get full leverage yet still took a tough Dodson down permenantly.

Even a scatty Calzaghe would get taste some canvas - this kid is heading places.

I highlited the key words imo.. The guy hasn't proved squat, and his defence is absolutely terrible. I would have a hard time envisioning any way he could beat Kessler and unlike you I have no reason to be so incredibly biased. I think Lucian Bute is a way better prospect and there were rumours of this fight happening, I really hope it comes off.

Bute wouldnt fight Froch to much of a risk. Come on more people have heard of Froch than Bute. Froch-kessler is a tough one Kessler i think would get it. But it dont mean Froch wouldnt try!

THat's exactly why he WOULD fight him... Can it really be so difficult to understand?
