Leonard was phenomenal but i dont know if he was better at middleweight; he went to middleweight as he was getting older and heavier and was a much more dominating fighter in light welter and welterweight divisions. Same as Robinson. He kicked ass at middleweight but was more devastating in the lighter classes. Kinda like Delahoya; he is a great fighter but had to blow himself up to make middleweight and was not naturally anywhere near as strong and dominant when competing in that division.
Other awesome middleweights =
----Stanley Ketchel (actually fought Jack Johnson and knocked him down before getting KTFO and losing like three of his teeth to the legendary heavyweight champ)
----Harry Greb (middleweight who once beat Gene Tunney and rumored to be consistently ducked by Dempsey for a shot; fought over half his career with a torn retina in one eye)
----Bob Fitzsimmons (mainly known as a light heavy but was practically invincible at middleweight)
----Roy Jones Jr. (completely dominant at middle and super-middleweight)
----Jermaine Taylor (like it or not, he's a damn good middleweight and has beaten everyone out there, pretty much; whether u like it or not. I didnt give him either Hopkins win or the Wright draw, but u gotta go with what it says on paper, u know? If he beats Ouma he says he will go up, but as of right now he's the best middleweight out there...)
