who is greater? Thomas Hearns or Aaron Pryor.

Hearns. He has the better resuME and as good as their amateur bout sounds,it would have no relevance to a fight in the pros,it's completely different. Pryonr did not beat anywhere near the amount of names Heanrns did and the first win over Arguello is tainted imo because of that shady drink he had and then he all of a sudden had a BURST of energy and won,Arguello was beating his a** until that point,nearly snapped his neck out of place with the power and accuracy of his punches.

pryor was winning quite comfortably in my book even without the drink he always has burst of energy he can fight at frantic pace like that watch 2nd arguello no one really knows about drink or ect all i know is pryor always fought frantic pace in every fight and in my opinion he had arguellos number there is no shame in losing to a great fighter like pryor plus pryor changed his tactic in first arguello fight if u watch documentary he said arguello expected me to keep swinging swinging and pryor said he knew he wouldnt be able to beat him that way and started to box after that can i just ask what your scorecard was after 14 rounds because i felt pryor was winning quite comfortably by about 3 or 2 rounds

The second fight is not the point here,Arguello was coming towards the end there,at a different weight class,after a monstrous war,he was never going to be the same. However,in the first fight, I don't care what anyone says,Arguello was beating Pryor's a** for 3 consecutive rounds before being stopped AFTER pRYOR drank whatever it is he drank. I have NEVER seen someone's (Pryor) next snapped back so far in my life,those were some of the most brutal shots I've seen!

you say arguello wouldnt be same after war like that what about pryor aswell ?? he took some brutal shots pryor just changed his tactic into a boxer and beat arguello thats all there is to it he was winning because pryors brawling tactic wernt working in middle rounds then he changed into boxer thats why pryor started winning again arguello come on in round 7 and 8 he wernt coming on at the end pryor started winning fight round about 10 or 11th if i remember right pryor just had arguellos number theres nothing wrong in that pryor is great fighter even greats struggle against boxer where there style doesnt work take ali for example vs ken norton same thing styles were all wrong for ali and it was same for arguello

Wrong.... Arguello won rds. 7 & 8 like you stated. rd. 9 was Pryor and in rds. 10, 11, 12 & even the begining of the 13th Arguello landed some sharp right hands that would have knocked anybody either out or at the very least down. But not Pryor, regardless of what you and I say that fight is tarnished and questionable. If you mention again the rematch I reply with the same thing I told you on the other thread neither fighter was ever the same after that kind of fight.
It's like saying JCC beat the same Meldrick in their rematch. Everybody knows it's not the same. Same goes for this fight, I think that was gonna be Arguellos last Hurrah! defeating Pryor then retiring as a champ.
