Gotta disagree here. Ricky was a big underdog against Kosta Tyszu granted but both Maussa and Collazo were seen at the time as being easy fights to pick up a couple more titles.Originally Posted by ross

Maussa was probably one of the least skilled boxing champions of all time, he was fucking terrible.
That fact was demonstrated perfectly by the fact that he lost to complete nobody in his next fight.
There is absolutely nothing on the Collazo record to suggest that he is anywhere near a world class fighter other than his performance against Ricky Hatton.
He won his title against Jose Riveria in a split decision victory, Riveria recently got his ass kicked and lost all 9 rounds against Travis Simms last week, a fighter who hadn't fought for 2 and a half years.
I fully expect Mosely to give Collazo a beating and then Ricky Hatton's performance will be put more in perspective.
I really love Ricky's all action style, and he's a true Brit and for that I'll always root for him, but he's not the monster at 140 lbs that people seem to think he is.
I also can't understand this kind of widely accepted position that Ricky is unbeatable at 140 but is too small to make 147.
The idea that 7 lbs difference either way would mean victory or defeat to Cotto for example I don't buy at all.
If Cotto could beat Hatton at 147 he would beat him at 140, providing he wasn't killing himself to make the weight.
And if the only reason Hatton would beat Cotto at 140 is because Cotto would be too weight drained to fight properly, what the hell kind of victory would that be?
Hatton is a really exciting, never quit, all action fighter, but he's not on the level of guys like Mayweather, De La Hoya or I supect Cotto.
Good fighter definitely, great.....I don't think so.
