I was in the coffee shop get my morning coffee and I was wearing my Boxing Hall of Fame T-shirt. A guy in line noticed my shirt and started talking to me. At one point in the conversation he said, "I know a lot about boxing!" I told him I went to the induction weekend each year and had met a lot of famous boxers. He was asking me about stuff I had signed and I told him I had just gotten a photo signed by Carmen Basilio. The guy looks at me and says "I never heard of him." I said goodbye, got my coffee and left.
LMAO

Back in 93, a co-worker came up to me and said too bad about Chávez. I said I know, he was a great leader. In which my co-worker replied "he was a great boxer"
I laughed out loud and I had to explain to him that this César Chávez who passed away was not the boxer Julio César Chávez but that he was an American farm worker, labor leader, and civil rights activist who co-founded the National Farm Workers Association, which later became the United Farm Workers.
