Another jab right from Matthews, and he's slapping at the cut while they're clinching. Good body shots from Simpson, and Matthews with a jab and two straights. Good right from Matthews, wobble from Simpson as he clings on. Simpson goes to the corner for another look at the cut. Doctor called. Good right from Matthews, but big rights from Simpson. Matthews charging forward, and there's blood everywhere. They're both going in at each other with body shots and hooks. Simpson's cut is worsening, and the left side of his face is a red sheen.

Matthews pulls one back,67-65 to Simpson, but the cut might stop it in a round or two according to Mickey Vann.
