As every boxing fan on the globe is already aware of, an undoubtedly massive fight takes place in Las Vegas tonight at 9PM ET/6PM PT on HBO PPV. For years enthusiasts have wondered what would happen if perennial pound for pound entrants Zab Judah and Floyd Mayweather ever swapped punches in anger and finally, the wait is over. These two blazing fast speed merchants lace ’em at the Thomas and Mack Center at the head of a fantastic Top Rank bill. In addition to Judah – Mayweather for the IBF Welterweight crown, WBA Lightweight Champ Juan Diaz takes the most dangerous step of his career, putting his belt in peril against the worst intentions of the undefeated Jose Miguel Cotto, who just happens to be WBO Light Welter kingpin Miguel Angel Cotto’s older brother. Add to this the red hot, anger fueled grudge match between an absolutely lethal pair top flyweights, Jorge Arce and Rosendo Alvarez, and you have perhaps the top fight card to take place in 2006.
