Let's put this into perspective for a moment....

Was he good when he was active and around? Yes!...Pound for pound top 10 and always exciting...
But truth is....

Tito did not act like a true champion or warrior.....So what you got beat by Hopkins no shame in that the guy is one of the top 3 mw of all time and is one of the top 5 of our era....Winky Wright is a defensive master maybe the best defensive fighter of the last 15 yrs....But we QUIT!!!!...and there is no other words for it.....QUIT!!!!! because he lost...Took his ball home to Daddy and pouted in the back yard until he wanted to play again...Next time he lost he did the same thing.....

I lost all respect for him.....Sorry and I know the Tito fans will SC away but you know what.....

Tito had no problem in relishing in victory and claiming his greatness and when he came up short could not deal with it.....

This is not a great champion...Great Champions accept their losses and bounce back.....B-Hop lost twice to Taylor and could have retired at 41 with no shame but instaed he went two divisions up and won a LH title.....Gatti has bounced back from defeat more times then a room full of superballs....

When De La Hoya loses he comes back to challenge a better fighter or claim a new title ect...That is a champion....It is more then wins and titles that earn respect.....Trinidad threw that away after the Winky loss....I forgave to Hopkins retirement stint figuring he just needed time to deal with it and rebuild...Second time shows what the true nature of the man has deep inside

Felix stay retired.....I will put my attention towards guys who deserve admiration....Plenty of up and comers wanting the respect you once had and are wqilling to take their lumps in the process....

Matter of fact one of them is fighting for a title tonight on HBO and after the shellacking he took from Cotto my hat goes off to him for jumping right back in the pool...Maybe Trinadad should take some notes
As bad as this sound, and as big of a Tito fan I am. I can't exactly deny some of the things said here. But this is all speculation. We don't really know what is going on inside his head. So we have no way of knowing why he retired.

I would like to see more but I have mixed emotions about his return, if it does happen.

At one time I was a big Tito fan and when he came back from the B-Hop loss and dominated Mayorga I was like most Trinidad fans happ as all hell. I figured he was back for business. Then he quit after the loss to Wright.....

I would not feel this way about him if he had done it right by saying he has reevaluated his carrer or needs time to rethink his next step if any ect....but no he quit because he lost....not because he might not have it anymore or needs to see if this is really what he still wants to do.....he Quit because he lost......I have no resepct for that....Thats not what boxing is about....I can expect that from aguy who has been KO'd or lost his last 5 in a row not a man in his prime
