He has broke his hands many times in his career and has developed this punch/slap to save his hands from further damage.

CC back . No it's true, he was a very hard puncher but as a young lad he never wrapped his hands. Every now and again you see a proper shot but its mostly 'slapping' and he aint done too bad with it to be honest.
