Let’s take a look at his last few opponents 140 and above

Demarcus Corley:
Mayweather couldn’t KO him and beat him over 12 rounds. Since then Corley has lost by TKO to Jose Alfor, Lost by UD to Jr Witter and lost by TKO to Miguel Cotto

Henry Bruseles:
This was an elimination bout that was made to keep Mayweather busy and is not worth mentioning. Henry has not really beaten anybody of note before or after this bout.

Shamba Mitchell
Mayweather KO’d him in 4 but Kostya Tsyu had already achieved this and Hatton has already stopped Tsyu and retired him. Which means he was close to retirement when he beat Shamba. Since the Mayweather fight Shamba has been KO’d in 4 by Paul Williams.

Arturo Gatti:
Mayweather steam rolled him. Since this fight he has lost by TKO to Carlos Baldomir and TKO in 7 to Alfonso Gomes(who)

Zab Judah:
Took Mayweather the whole 12 rounds but has just been KO’d by Miguel Cotto

Carlos Baldomir:
Gained the title from over the hill previous light welter Zab Judah just lost UD to Vernon Forrest.

Oscar De La Hoya:
WAY OVER THE HILL
This fight was a joke. Delahoyas size took him so far but he gassed and is a shadow of his former self.

I think Hatton has a much better chance here than I originally thought
Most of these fighters went on to lose fights to weak opposition because mayweather was brutal, offensive, and unrelenting. Opponents of Mayweathers never come out unscathed. He does what Calzaghe did to Lacy in every single fight..........

Just kidding.
