The only difference maybe age and ethnicity and thats it.

Whitaker was on a 16 month layoff and had cocain troubles and they paired him with Trinidad for a last bigtime fight and a legendary scalp for Trinidad to have for his meteoric rise.

Mosely is an active top welterweight who seems ageless and is willing to always take on the best, his situation is nothing like Pernell Whitaker's.It was almost a foregone conclusion that being in the twilight of his career Whitaker was gonna lose being in against a young fresh wrecking machine in Tito.

Mosely is the bigger man by 2 in and hasnt really lost any speed and strength. Cotto is no doubt a juggernaut and is a bright a talent as Tito was but this fight is gonna be exciting tough and pretty much a pikem for me, I am a life long Mosely fan but I love Cotto as well. This fight is a fans dream come true and glad that it is happening
