I am a huge American football fan. (Patriots still undefeated at 10-0) Since 1931 American footabll has recorded over 1600 related deaths while Boxing, a worldwide sport has recorded over 500 in 100 years. That's over 3 times more. Football players aren't punching each other in the head but they are causing broken necks, backs and brain damage. This argument will always save the sport of boxing. More people die per year hunting for God's sake...
Not only pro, but college football as well has a higher number of deaths per 100,000 people than boxing. More people die/get injured driving a car on a daily basis than boxing has in a year yet you see them still contently cashing in on newer models and higher gas prices. How many people die/get permantly injured when a surgeon messes up a surgery? Tell them to work on their stuff before coming after something else.
