Well I thought an even past his prime De la Hoya would beat PBF....is that acceptable?
I never said Oscar wasn't past his prime
It's not who he has "ducked" it's who he hasn't tried to fight and yes Margarito is one of them....right now at 147 there are AT LEAST 3 more guys he could fight who he won't: Miguel Cotto WBA champion, Paul Williams WBO champion, Kermit Cintron IBF champion, Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley......yes I listed Cintron, I don't like his chances vs any of the top guys but he has a title and if Floyd is so god damn good then why can't he just go take it
Floyd whines about not getting respect and he does nothing to change anything....he doesn't say "Well I am going to unify to prove something to my doubters" or "I'm going to beat all the best fighters near my weight class and retire undefeated".....he just brags on himself and talks shit and maybe, just maybe it's why people look for reasons to discredit his accomplishments.
I am not one of them, he's an accomplished fighter and I hate his guts but it doesn't mean he sucks as a fighter ....he just doesn't take risks and that is an issue for me....I like the best to fight and beat the best....Ricky Hatton is a good fight for him and he'll get respect for beating him (if he does so) and he needs to make more fights like that.
Ricky is 100% in his prime and he's undefeated
Miguel Cotto is just reaching his prime
Paul Williams is reaching his prime
Antonio Margarito is in his prime
Shane Mosley is past his prime but is a very tough fight and a huge money fight for anyone
