That was a horrible, horrible fight. Lacy honestly should have taken an easier opponent than Manfredo after such a big lay off and major surgery. He was slow, sloppy, mechanical, his timing was off big time, his foot work wasn't great either. Manfredo was doin okay until he got dropped, then he kinda panicked and decided to run, hold, and look up at the clock until the fight was over. I was really looking forward to this fight and it was total shit. I was disapointed. Lacy is not done yet though, he needs to fight more often though, thats for sure, and shake off that rust.
Opponents don't come much easier than Manfredo. It's not really the fact that Lacy went the distance. It's the fact that he looked so bad. Lacy claimed to be 100% coming into the fight. "Good as new" as he said. He might be 100%, but that left hook is gone. The surgery took it way. Lacy is done. He's a journeyman now.
