I think over the two fights Leonard proved more as he may have lost the 1st fight on points but he showed he had heart and could rough it-up while Duran wasn't able to adapt in the rematch or even compete when Sugar fought his usual way.
The 2nd fight was actually quite close up until when Duran quit, Leonard was actually noy doing that much himself. Its not like Duran was getting taught a boxing lesson the fight was close and the judges also had it close as well.

But i do agree with what your saying though, Leonard fought perfect tactic in the rematch. And i give him all the credit in the world for fighting Duran's fight in there 1st meeting, then coming back in such a short time.
