Mayweather would be the clear favorite going into a fight with Cotto. But Cotto is a legit full-size welterweight in his prime, and therefore he would force Floyd to bring his A game.

The only chance Ricky Hatton had was if Floyd showed up completely out-of-shape. Floyd didn't need a grade-A performance to beat Hatton, he would need an A-performance to beat Cotto.
