If he had absolute brutal power that would be something, but he has only good power. If he had faster hands than Floyd that would be a thing although Judah has faster hands than both of them and they both beat Judah. If he could move his feet with Floyd that would be something special, or if he defended like Floyd. What specifically does he do so well that it will win him the fight? Cotto is a very good and well rounded fighter, just nothing special IMO and not someone who will beat Floyd IMO.



I don't see how anybody could say that Cotto's power is anything short of "brutal." In fact, that might be the best word to describe Cotto's power. Did you miss the Malignaggi fight? That was at 140 where Cotto was sort of mediocre. Paulie had to have reconstructive surgery on his face, in case you forgot. Since he's gone to 147, he's an absolute beast. I probably don't need to mention the Quintana and Judah fights because I'm sure that you've seen them.

Speed? He's got that too. I don't know where it came from or how he got it, but it was there in the Mosley fight. His timing might be his greatest strength, or it might be his new found granite chin.

I'm no Cotto fan, but I'll admit that he's not to be overlooked.

Mayweather would win a clean UD, though.
