In fact I would go as far as to say that the opinions of the aforementioned experts would be a good indication of the general consensus of the boxing world.

Retrospect is a valuable tool to a critic. Looking back his limitations were displayed in the Sheika and Vanderpool fights, but who thought it at the time? Very few.
I know I was shouting for Joe and predicted a win for him, but I was incredibly nervy doing so.
The media heralded the fight as doomsday for Joe,the majority felt JOE was going to be exposed. So I stand by my opinion....How could an exposed fighter, be a heavy favourite against a world champion?
