Julio Cesar Chavez holds records for most successful defenses of world titles (27) and most title fights (37). Won 6 world titles in 3 weight divisions. Ranked by ESPN as the 17th greatest boxer in history. Hall of Famer. Knocked down until his 89th fight. Etc .etc. etc. All that still doesn't convince you, eh? Oh well.
I could agree in one way or the other with all the people that don't like Chavez (which are quite a lot of boxing fans) if the first time he fought a big name got totally dominated but nope, he got rid of them the same way he got rid of the other not-so-well-known boxers and get to the point of being one of the greatest in boxing history.
No not at all.But Oscar did put a some beatdown on him didn't he, far from "prime" of course, but highlights how good it would be for JCC Jr to spank Oscar, wich wont happen will it.
Yep, Chavez Sr. was past his prime of course. JCC Jr would need to wait for Oscar to start fading just like Oscar waited for Chavez and go for it. I don't see it happening either as much as I like the Chavez.
