It can't be what hes done in the past. Oh it must be the fact that PBF is small. Which brings up another point, I've never seen a natural junior middle weight be so hungry to fight a natural lightweight. Hes trying to call out pbfs manhood by calling him gayweather but hes thirsty to fight a guy who his is 2-3 weightclasses bigger than. What does that say about him? What he needs to do is fight someone worth mentioning, beat them and then he can start callin out the best. All that aside I think hes too slow for pbf and would lose by UD if they fought. The only thing that gives any welter a chance against pbf is there size. But being big and strong don't mean anything if you can't put it on the target.
He's beaten whoever has been put in front of him and yeah,Santos is not great but firstly that fight should have been scored for Tony and second styles make fights and their styles just clashed too much.7 headbutts anyone? Also, that's really lame thinking because as soon as Floyd made his way to 147 he was a legitimate target. Oh so what does it say about Hopkins beating Oscar? Where did Oscar start off? Also, styles makes fights,I reiterate because who would have thought out of all Floyd's opponents,Castillo would have caused him problems?

You might be right. I still think he was better off keeping his mouth closed
He was talking before the fight took place, like Miles said and MANY people made that mistake off writing off Oscar...Margarito included but let's not forget he predicted Oscar to win

Hatton would eat him alive (no joke intended)
Gatti he may beat
Oscar would pick him apart
Floyd would make him look silly
Zab would get beat by him
Mayorga maybe beats him
Mosley DEFINANTLY beats him
Hatton would not eat him alive at all....it would be a close fight UNLESS Hatton got ripped to shreds by Margarito's punches.
There is no may,Gatti would be right there in front of Tony and would get crushed.
Floyd may make him look silly....I doubt it though.....
dam right on the Zab
I think he beats Mayorga, too much pressure
if Mosley DEFINITELY beats him,why did he state OPENLY and there were numerous links posted that he sais he was not ready for Tony and which is why he changed his mind and stayed at 154...to fight Vargas a second time because Tony was the only available opponent. Not saying Margarito would win but you're more confident than Mosley

P4PKING,his punches arent as wide as Myorgas,he's stronger, throws more and he can shorten and they come from weird angles. He also has a decent jab and can work the body.....

Anyone else........
The only difference is hopkins wasn't begging to fight Oscar. He wasn't going around talking mess about him either. And as far as styles make fights yes you are right certain styles clash but that is never really a strong excuse because a good-great fighter can overcome theses things and if he can't then he must not be as good-great as he or his fans thought. If he can't get past that style are his chances any higher that he could get past mayweathers. I don't think so. If your a fan thats cool,if you got faith in him thats cool too but thats all you can have is faith and hope because nothing in his past shows that he can beat mayweather and thats my point.
Margarito is not "begging",he just wants to fight someone he thinks he can beat. I'm a fan but I know the odds will be stacked against him. What do you mean if he can't get past that stlye? Are you trying to make an analogy between Santos style and Mayweathers??!?!That's not a very good point.....and nothing in Winky's past showed he could beat Tito,Mosley, nothing in Pacman's past showed he could beat MAB etc. bASICALLY,I just want Tony to be given a shot, that is all. If he fails,I'll hold up my hands and admit it like a man,no biggie but I expect him to put in a good show at least!

Which means guys like Oscar, Mayorga, Mosley, and Vargas could beat him! Because they have tasted harder punches and survived.

Floyd is too quick for those LOOOOOONG punches he throws and I swear they just get longer and longer.

Hatton would get on the inside nullify the height advantage and work the body end of story!
Have you seen what Margarito did to 6 heads Lewis when he tried to smother Margarito?Have you seen what happened to the 170 pound Santos on the ropes in that fight? He went down from a body shot too which was not counted for some reason! He couldn't take Santos power?I'm sorry...Santos shook him twice, did Margarito go down though? Was he knocked out?? Yes he throws long punches but what makes him difficult to fight against are the weird angles, the amount that are thrown etc. and he has shortened them..the Benitez fight,he threw short ones against Kyvelos and the long ones are punches which you don't see coming, they are the ones that hurt.
Its funny how we are talking about tony and pbf but you've mentioned a good 6 other fighters in your argument that have no relevance to the point I'm trying to make. That point is Tony has fought NOBODY and how people just expect him to beat the ultimate Somebody in boxing today is funny. Like i said let him fight 1 name fighter and if he wins then he can start talking S%&*. If he beat 1 name fighter then I could see where all the optimism is coming from but the truth is hes only beaten C level fighters.
