Pacstraighleft,
I gotta say I think he beats RJJ soundly. Especially since RJJ fades out even worst then what Hopkins faded in their fight. So I'd favor Joe over RJJ.

vs. Pavliks.... The thing here for me is 2 things:
1. Can Joe take one of Pavliks straight rights?
2. Can Pavlik land his money shot on Joe?

I think if Pavlik uses his jab more to set up the right, instead of just firing the right hand with no set up jab I think he lands it. JT was able to box with Pavlik without getting hit with anything major.

I said before that I'd never doubt Pavlik again, more recently I said I'd never doubt Joe again. I got this one even and can't decide now but I will choose a side if the fight gets done.

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO MENTION THAT IT SEEMS TO ME LIKE THE "STARR SYNDROME" SEEMS TO BE GOING AROUND AND HAS INFECTED SOME OF YOU. I mean what kind of prediction is this?:
"Pavlik by TKO" OR "Joe on points"

That's the easy way to predicting a fight.....
I mean in that case why not say I think either one wins it.

Then when the fight is over, some of you come here saying:
"Well I did say he'd win by points"

Yeah! well you also predicted a win for the other guy....

I call this the 'Starr' syndrome cause she used to always do that.
gotta agree with your points about RJJ mick.. RJJ likes to take breaks, and i don't think he'll be able to do with with joe's workrate.. Bhop had the better chance at beating joe with his dirty, hold and grab technique.. Unless RJJ scores a KO, i don't see him beating Joe..

As far as Pavlik goes, this is Joe's most dangerous fight i believe.. I like to compare Pavlik, in the respect of fighting Calzaghe, with Kessler.. They're both fighters who stand right in front of you, and come towards you.. Lacy was the same way.. We've seen Joe beat both Kessler and Lacy decisively.. but the difference as far as Pavlik is concered, is his own workrate.. Pavlik DOES NOT stop, so Joe would have to be in his best shape going into this fight.. Pavlik is a machine, and after seeing him get knocked around with about 4 flush shots from Taylor, getting up before the ref counted to two, and coming back to win the fight by KO then i don't know what or who will stop him..

To answer your questions.. could joe take a straight right from Pavlik? i'd say it depends on the round.. if it's past the 6th round and pavlik lands flush FORGET IT, Joe's done.. this is why i think it's the most dangerous fight for Joe.. it all comes down to a "punchers chance".. Not that Pavlik isn't a superb fighter, but Joe is very elusive and Pavlik will need a little while to figure him out to land any big shots.. This is the fight i want to see..
