nirvana was depressing you're right on the money.. cobaine dealt with a stomache disorder that basically made him live in pain so ya his music was depressing and you could hear the pain in his voice, he's one overrated sum bich though - especially as a guitarist, quite a simple guitar player actually

pearl jam was one of the last true rock bands though, had alot of versatile stuff (mike mccreedy was reminiscent of jimi hendrix in a way) - once again don't listen to their mainstream hits and come to the conclusion, thats just narrowminded
narrow minded = stupid and you cant fix stupid

I'm a big fan of adrenaline so the seattle scene fits me perty well, but I understand all you non skydiving no rock climbing no motorcrossing haters!
