Oscar made Mayorga look worse, it wasn't because Mayorga came in better against Mosley. I am not talking about the fact that Oscar ko'ed him earlier as much as Oscar was much better defensively against Mayorga, his movement was better, he actually had a jab to control Mayorga's offense, he was countering better.

Obviously he hit harder as well, but in terms of who was landing cleaner shots, while not getting hit by clean shots, Oscar wins hands down. That has nothing to do with size. Oscar beat Mayorga more emphatically than Trinidad as well who is larger than Oscar.

Also lets look at Mosley-COllazo, before Collazo broke his hand it sure looked close. He was matching Mosley's speed, and he was countering him, but as soon as he broke that left hand he stopped throwing any punches which Emmanuel commented on the whole night. Mosley looked good that night, but against Cotto I don't think he looked good at all. Cotto outtimed him, outpunched him, and was the better man. The only credit I gave Mosley was that he has his invulnerability and he walked through a few halacious punches, and he land that right hand which is the one punch he has managed to retain.

Personally, I have never found Mosley to be as good as everyone has. I think he was a gifted athlete who was tought poorly how to fight, and that his athletic ability more than his skills have continued to push him through. I think if he had, had a less granite chin, he wouldn't have achieved half of what he did north of the lightweight division.
Wow. Sound like you are describing one of your man-crushes Roy Jones Jr, except replace "granite chin" with "god-like reflexes." But you rate Jones as the greatest ever and you think Mosley is overrated. I don't get it. Both are great fighters with one fatal flaw, and Roy's gets him KO'd while Shane's gets him beat on a UD. And I don't mean Roy's chin, I mean he leaving his chin open when he throws the left hook. I guess you prefer incredible athletes that talk a lot of trash and don't take risks with their careers more than incredibly talented athletes who are willing to fight the best available opponents.
