I can't avoid thinking that possibly the pulling out of that fight is indicative of what his trainers (or himself) really think of him. On the other hand, I understand the need for a tune-up fight, but two tune-ups? That I don't understand. Kessler previously dominated Andrade and he was on the world stage when he fought Calzaghe, why take a step back? Furthermore, look at Arthur Abraham who after beat Miranda is fighting a rough mandatory with Marquez. Fair enough. But, there is already talk of him meeting Winkie Wright in the beginning of the year and Pavlik in the Spring.
Also, note that Haussler only has seven KO's in his 29 wins (KO% = 21.1%). That shows me that Kessler currently doesn't want to fight anyone with a big punch. Again, this slightly baffles me because of his the people he has previously fought and beat, but who knows maybe losing to Joe took some of his heart.
