It's something I perfected over a decade or so starting at University. If you do it you'll have to buy yourself a small digital scale that weighs to a hundredth of a gramme so that you don't overdose yourself, which can be very unpleasant indeed. If you get one ounce of good quality bud and cook it into 250 grammes of butter you'll end up with about 200 g finished product. If it's good stuff then roughly 1.1 or 1.2 grammes will get you completely stoned for 3-6 hours depending on your physiology but 1.4 or even 1.3 grammes could give you an unpleasant experience.
