Maybe it's just Nicole Kidman's horrible acting... Anyone that says she's a great actor that even deserves to be on screen, let alone win an Oscar, needs their head checked...

I heard an interview with her just after "Australia" came out, and the interviewer was saying "Is there any parts in the movie where you watch and be like, "okay, that was pretty good acting"" etc??
She replies "Oh no! I hardly ever watch my movies and when I do I just cringe (so do us all Nicole)" she then goes on saying "My whole career i've had to turn to people and go "Was that really horrible?" and they'd say it was great, but I always feel like i'm doing a terrible job"...

Well here is how I see it, literally because she IS doing a bad job..
But, if you're in a career.. A career you've chosen.. You work hard at it and are supposed to even be world class at it, you should at LEAST feel like you're doing a decent job.. Like, I have a pretty mundane job, but I can still look at things and go, "hey, i'm pretty proud of that.. Or, I worked well here"... The fact Nicole has never been proud of any acting she's done or ever felt like she's done a good job is evidence in itself that she's probably doing a shit job....

Although some critics can't stand her and see her wooden one note performance for what it is, a lot still think she's brilliant...

F'n shits me.. And she's ruined a tonne of potentially good movies..
Well, you've certainly let your thoughts be known in clear and certain terms. I kinda liked Cold Mountain, so I guess I need my head checked. Call me a sucker for a good romance.

I didn't think she was that bad, thought she did a decent job of playing a sheltered, pampered, naive girl who suddenly had to rely on herself in the cold cruel world. No accounting for taste I guess.

As for the interview, well there's lots of insecure artist types out there, I wouldn't put too much weight on answers like the ones she gave.
