If somebody is actively seeking work and is qualified and willing to work but still not getting work it's as much a failure of the government, companies, economic climate etc as it is that person.

Plus as Von is educated to a high standard with a degree and serious work experience he has every right to want to get a job with career prospects and a good salary. I don't see McDonald's as a fair option for someone who is obviously skilled and has experience that can be put to use at a much higher level.
I wouldnt advise everyone to come to Korea. No way. But educated people shouldnt feel trapped in the UK. Its a pretty miserable little place, I would advise the few educated types to think about their life direction.

The UK is going nowhere special.
Most of us don't find it that easy to simply cut friends and family out of our lives like that.
Me neither actually. I signed up as a last minute thing and I was at the airport with my mum. I told her I wanted to stay home, but she was clear: You should go, we are not here for nothing! My mum gave me an unusual hug and I was forced to depart. I live a weird life, I wouldnt say it was fun or anything.
