I'm not sure I really understand as I don't have freeview. I have a digital box in the lounge but it hasn't even been turned on in over a year.

So some people have signed up a contract with someone other than Setanta and Setanta is included as part of the package, is that what you mean? So they arn't subscribing to Setanta directly but kind of through a third party?

What I mean is, if you were a subscriber to Setanta directly you could watch this on tv and not have to get broadband as well?
standard freeview customers subscribe to setanta same as you would on sky, but they get a card i think that plugs into the freeview box, or you phone up and they unlock the channel something like that, all freeview boxes have the setanta channel on but its locked until you start paying for a subscription, even then its only setanta sports 1, you dont get the other channels that sky users get

also apparently on freeview they stop broadcasting at 5am for some reason so this leads to them cutting off in the middle of fights i would guess,

virgin media gives you setanta for free when u subscribe to them but i think they dont show you certain live events, like theyll show you the build up then say this is your last chance to phone up and subsricbe or something along those lines
Seems a bit weird that you don't get every channel when you are subscribing to them already, I'm suprised more people don't complain about that.

The broadband feed is excellent if you have use your pc as an entertainment center. I've got a nice widescreen 24" which is ideal for my bedroom and watch everying on my pc, never go in my lounge at all.

But if your main setup is in the lounge and you just have a laptop or work computer then broadband would suck a bit.

One great thing about it though is the fact that you can take it with you when if you leave the house, .i.e just log in to your account anywhere in the UK, that' pretty handy.
