    Default Prospects thread

    Alright gentlemen and lady.

I'm gonna do another list that I'd like some help with.
I want to find the current top crop of prospects that have less than 10 fights as a pro. I do have to head out to school, so I'll just start with what I have so far.

    Heavyweight

Deontay Wilder USA 3-0 (3 KOs)
Deontay was the only member of 2008 US Olympic team to medal (bronze). So far as a pro he has successfully been able to impose his will on his opponents.

Tyson Fury UK 4-0 (4 KOs)
Tyson is menacing at 6'7" won the 2008 ABA Super Heavyweight championship. Coming stateside he is looking to step into his career quickly with his eyes on revenge against................

David Price UK 1-0 (1 KO)
Price is well decorated amatuer and Liverpool native. A bronze at the 2008 Olypmics in the Super Heavyweight class. He won the title in 2006 at the Commonwealth games and was the 2003, 2005 and 2007 ABA Champion at Super Heavyweight.

    Cruiserweight

    Open to suggestions

    Light Heavyweight

Beibut Shumenov Kazakhstan 7-0 (5 KOs)
Beibut was Kazakhstan's entrant in the 2004 Olympic games. He is wasting no time, trying to climb the 175 lb. ladder. Already having wins over Montell Griffin and Epi Mendoza are saying something, he is fighting Alejandro Berrio in May.

    Super Middleweight

George Groves UK 3-0 (2 KOs)
George was the 2007 and 2008 ABA Middleweight champ. Master of the pump fake and a member of the Hayemaker stable, he will surely be getting the limelight in 2009

    Middleweight

Matt Korobov Russia 4-0 (4 KOs)
Korobov has been very solid in his short time as a pro. His amatuer background has been quite notable winning world championships in 2005 and 2007, European championship in 2006 and a European Junior title in 2001.

    Light Middleweight

Demetrius Andrade USA 4-0 (4 KOs)
Andrade has the skills, the speed and the power to maintain at the pro level. Demetrius won the USAB Championship in 2005 and 2006. He won the National Golden Gloves in 2006 and 2007. He made the US Olympic representitive in 2008.

Erislandy Lara Cuba 4-0 (3 KOs)
Lara has made quick work of his last three opponents after having an uncooperative debut in Turkey against Ivan Maslov. Lara's amateur background is extensive in the traditional cuban way. Cuban Junior National bantamweight champ 2000, Cuban National welterweight champ 2005, 2006 and 2007, World welterweight champ 2005, Bronze medal (President's Cup) 2006, Gold Medal Central American Games 2006.

    Welterweight

Ray Robinson USA 10-0 (4 KOs)
The 5'10" Southpaw from Philly, justified getting public attention by destroying fellow prospect Darnell Jiles on FNF land 3 to 1 in connects.

    Light Welterweight

    Open for suggestions

    Lightweight

John Watson UK 10-0 (4 KOs)
The 2004 ABA Light Welterweight champ from Liverpool. Decent handspeed, but more important a great temperment for only being 25. He knows when to potshot and when to finish.

Masao Nakamura Japan 8-0 (8 KOs)
I know what you're thinking an orthodox fighter from Japan, that's crazy talk. Nakamura has great power at only 21 he's one of the younger guys on here. Does it show? Absolutely, his defense leaks like a seive, but what he has already shown is that he can pick himself up off the canvas and come back with a vengeance. He also carries genuine power.

    Super Featherweight

Pier Olivier Cote Canada 5-0 (3 KOs)
Only 5 fights into his career and he's already signed with Interbox alongside Lucien Bute and Adrian Diaconu. He was named Fightnews Canada's prospect of the year in 2008. After a long amatuer career, he shows a domination over opponents that shows he has many levels to go up in quality of opponent before meeting any resistance. Plus he has a kick-ass afro.

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
